About the Authors
Aura Lewis
Aura Lewis is an author-illustrator with an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is inspired by fashion and culture from all over the world, playful color, vintage design and social activism.
Aura’s work is featured in books for children and adults, on TV, stationery and in editorial publications. Her first book, Gloria’s Voice, is a picture book biography about feminist leader Gloria Steinem. Her second book, The Illustrated Feminist, celebrates 100 years of American women’s history, and her latest book, We The People (co-authored with Evan Sargent), is about the American Constitution.
Evan Sargent
Entrepreneur and author Evan Sargent is cofounder of COMMIT, a strategic and creative firm that builds a brand in a day or a week. Her clients span thought leaders, nonprofits, startups, and businesses in social impact spaces including social justice, global development, spirituality / wellness, and purpose-driven business. Evan is passionate about disrupting the way work gets done and exploring new ways of collaboration and leadership. Her mission is helping people and organizations with world-changing ideas get their work out into the world quickly, effectively and beautifully. Evan is also passionate about political engagement and activism. Her first kids book, We the People: The US Constitution Explored and Explained with Quarto Kids is available in stores and online.
